SOUTHFIELD — Meryl Held, D.O., has been named medical director of Medical Weight Loss Clinic, a board certified physician-administered weight loss program.
Held is responsible for providing additional medical direction for the company’s programs and patients, as well as overseeing medical-based referrals.
Prior to joining Medical Weight Loss, Held, board certified in internal medicine, worked as a private practice physician with Rochester Medical Group in Rochester Hills. She completed her residency, including a year as chief internal medicine resident, at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital in Macomb.
A native of Baltimore, and resident of Lake Orion, Dr. Held received her doctorate of osteopathy from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Towson University in Maryland.
