Medical Main Street to Host Inaugural “Inno-Vention” Medical Device Conference

WATERFORD – Mark B. Leahey, president and C.E.O.  of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), will be the keynote speaker for the inaugural Inno-Vention: A Medical Main Street Conference, set for Oct. 4 in Rochester.

Inno-Vention will showcase the life science and health care industries in Southeast Michigan. It focuses on new medical devices in oncology, cardiology and orthopedics and is of interest to manufacturers, suppliers and clinicians looking to invest.

The conference runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. More than 350 people are expected to attend along with international medical device companies, Michigan medical device supplier, and hospital and group purchasing decision makers. Leahey’s responsibilities at the MDMA include advocating on behalf of the entrepreneurial sector of the medical device industry to Congress, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other federal and state agencies.
