McLaren Macomb Names New Chief Nursing Officer

MOUNT CLEMENS — McLaren Macomb has named Andrea G. Phillips, RN, BSN, MA, to vice president/chief nursing officer.

Most recently, Phillips was an ambulatory network administration director for the St. John Providence Health System. While with SJPHS, her responsibilities included multi-specialty outpatient centers, a freestanding emergency center, the clinical decision unit and the urgent care service line.

Prior to that, she was with McLaren Macomb’s nursing management team. She also held positions of increasing responsibility, first as assistant manager for the maternal-child division, and later as a clinical nurse manager for the telemetry and the cardiac specialty unit and nursing supervisor.

Phillips, of Macomb Township, also served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and also as a reservist.

She earned an associate’s in nursing at Macomb Community College, a bachelor’s in nursing from Excelsior College in Albany, New York and a master’s in health care leadership from Siena Heights University.
