FLINT –– McLaren Health Care has named Michael McKenna as executive vice president/chief medical officer and Ron Strachan as chief information officer.
McKenna has more than 20 years of experience in medical management. He served as vice president of medical management at the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Lutheran General Children’s Hospital both located in Park Ridge, Ill.
Dr. McKenna earned his medical degree at Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine. He plans on relocating to Clarkston.
Strachan has nearly 30 years of experience as a network chief information officer with Community Network Health, a nonprofit organization based in Indianapolis. His work with the network earned the organization multiple Health Care’s Wired awards.
While employed with WellStar Health System in Marietta, Ga. Strachan was named finalist for the Georgia CIO of the Year Award.
Strachan is a native of Lincoln Park and a member of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from Davenport University in Dearborn and a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University.
