McGraw Wentworth Appoints Vice President

TROY — McGraw Wentworth, a benefits consulting and brokerage firm, has appointed veteran benefits professional Rebecca McLaughlan vice president.

McLaughlan has more than 25 years of experience in the development, analysis, evaluation, and implementation of group benefit programs for mid-size public and private organizations. She joined the company in 1999 as an account director, became a principal shareholder, and was named managing director.

During her tenure at McGraw Wentworth, McLaughlan has managed strategic plan development for numerous Michigan employers, overseen key initiatives including the agency’s annual Michigan Mid-Market Group Benefits Survey, represented the firm on carrier advisory councils, and guided the professional development of the firm’s account directors. In addition, she has played a role in integrating the firm with- and leveraging the additional resources of Marsh & McLennan Agency, which acquired the company in December 2012.

A Clarkston resident, McLaughlan graduated from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s in finance, and has completed coursework in the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist program.
