Martha Zehnder Kaczynski, vice president of the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth, was presented with the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award at the recent Association of Fundraising Professional Mid-Michigan Chapter’s National Philanthropy Day event at Saginaw Valley State University.
The Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award honors Zehnder Kaczynski’s dedication to philanthropy and her exceptional contributions to the community. It acknowledges individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, commitment, and success in fundraising efforts to support charitable causes with exceptional skills in coordinating and motivating groups of volunteers for fundraising projects.
Zehnder Kaczynski’s commitment to philanthropy and her approaches to fundraising initiatives have helped numerous charitable organizations as evidenced by the giving circle she coordinated for nine years for Saginaw Leadership Cares. SLC was the 2014 class project for the Leadership Saginaw program through the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce.
Zehnder Kaczynski’s achievement underscores the Bavarian Inn’s longstanding commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. Her leadership and philanthropic endeavors have fostered a culture of giving back and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
“The Saginaw Leadership Cares giving circle was fortunate to partner with the Saginaw Community Foundation,” says Zehnder Kaczynski. “Over the last 9 years, we heard from 81 organizations and awarded funds to 27 Saginaw County 501(c)(3) organizations totaling $155,827.97. It was an honor to organize and lead this giving circle to see how we are helping our community and neighbors.”
