Margaret Dimond Named President and CEO of McLaren Oakland

McLaren Oakland has appointed Margaret Dimond as president and CEO. Dimond brings more than 20 years of experience and joins McLaren from Crittenton Hospital in Rochester where she served as president and CEO. Prior to her position at Crittenton, Dimond served eight years as an executive leader for McLaren Health Care working as president of Karmanos Cancer Hospital and president and CEO of McLaren Medical Group.

“Margaret’s vast knowledge of the Oakland County market and the McLaren system, combined with her expertise in hospital operations, strategic planning, and physician alignment models will serve McLaren Oakland well in building on market growth, access, and service initiatives that support our focus on quality and value,” says Mark O’Halla, executive vice president and COO of McLaren Health Care. “Margaret has a proven track record as a team leader who works collaboratively with employees, physicians, and multiple stakeholders around the common goal of providing excellent healthcare to the communities we serve.”

Additionally, Dimond has held various positions with Henry Ford Health Systems including promoted vice president of ambulatory services and senior vice president and COO of Henry Ford Bi-County Hospital in Warren.

Dimond earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from St. Mary’s College, a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in social work from Boston College, and a doctorate in philosophy from Michigan State University.
