Douglas L. Toering has joined the Troy office of Mantese Honigman PC as a partner.
Toering will continue his practice in shareholder disputes, complex business litigation, insurance litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He chairs the State Bar of Michigan’s Business Law Section, where he also chairs the Commercial Litigation Committee and the Business Courts Committee.
Previously, Toering was in-house counsel for General Motors where he then practiced as a partner at a national litigation firm and later at his own firm. He has represented Fortune 500 companies in commercial litigation as well as small businesses in litigation and transactional matters. Toering authors the chapter on Michigan’s Business Courts for the ABA’s Annual Review of Recent Developments in Business and Corporate Litigation.
Toering, of Shelby Township, earned his Bachelor of Science in economics from Grand Valley State University and his juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School.
