Madison Schillig Named Director of Motor City Match

The Detroit Economic Growth Corp. (DEGC) appointed Madison Schillig as the new program director for Motor City Match, effective immediately. Schillig succeeds former program manager Andrew Lucco.

The Detroit Economic Growth Corp. (DEGC) appointed Madison Schillig as the new program director for Motor City Match, effective immediately. Schillig succeeds former program manager Andrew Lucco.

Schillig joined the Motor City Match team in 2021 as the design track coordinator. In this position, she partnered with architects and engineers to develop plans that helped business build out their brick-and-mortar spaces. Schillig has been running the restore track as the façade improvement manager for the past seven months.

We are confident that Motor City Match will continue to thrive under her leadership and positively impact the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

In 2017 Schillig worked on a project as part of her fellowship at Motor City Match. This experience solidified her commitment to Motor City Match’s mission of supporting small businesses in Detroit by providing financial support, technical assistance, and resources to help them grow.

“I am incredibly excited and honored to step into the role of program director for Motor City Match,” says Schillig. “Having been a part of this amazing team since 2021, I have witnessed firsthand the program’s positive impact on the small business community in Detroit. I look forward to working closely with our talented team and partners to build upon the success of Motor City Match and create even more opportunities for growth and development in our city.”

Schillig earned her degree in urban planning with a specialization in urban design from the University of Cincinnati in 2017. Upon graduation, she moved to Detroit.
