M/I Homes, an Ohio-based homebuilding company, appointed Sascha C. Vallat as its new vice president of sales and marketing in its Detroit division.
Vallat will lead the division’s sales and marketing department with a focus on talent development, product offerings, and community openings. He has more than 15 years of experience in real estate and has worked for both private and public homebuilders.
Vallat worked most recently for Meritage Homes where he served as the vice president of sales for the Atlanta division.
Originally from Germany, Vallat has held various positions in real estate throughout his career, including sales manager of both public and private homebuilders in Florida, North Carolina, and Connecticut.
“Sascha has a proven track record of successful community openings and sales volumes throughout his tenure in the industry,” says Scott Schwanke, area president of M/I Homes Michigan. “We are looking forward to adding his leadership to the team and using his experience to continue driving sales and growing our strong position in the Michigan market.”
M/I Homes of Michigan was awarded the Home Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan in 2022. The division has eight active communities throughout southeast Michigan including Macomb, Wayne, Oakland, Livingston, and Washtenaw counties.
The division will open its two newest communities Heritage Farms in Chelsea, and Creekside Park in Chesterfield Township toward the end of 2023 and early 2024.
