DTE Energy has named Lynette Dowler as president of the DTE Energy Foundation, where she will be responsible for managing the foundation’s grant support to nonprofits.

“Lynette brings strategic focus and strong leadership to the important work of the DTE Energy Foundation,” says David Meador, DTE Energy vice chairman and chief administrative officer. “Lynette’s track record of successfully transforming plans into action makes her well-suited to execute the vision of the DTE Energy Foundation Board.”

Dowler has served DTE for more than 30 years, serving in a variety of leadership positions including director of corporate safety, plant director for fossil generation, and director of enterprise performance management.

“The DTE Energy Foundation’s impact can be felt in areas ranging from the environment to employment and beyond,” says Dowler. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve a company committed to making Michigan a better place to live, work, and play as well as to lead a staff passionate about making a difference in our state.”

Dowler earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Toledo.
