Lumen Detroit Names New General Manager and Kitchen Manager

Lumen Detroit, slated to open this spring as Beacon Park’s anchor restaurant, yesterday announced Sarah Stricher as general manager and William Hollie as kitchen manager. Owners Norman and Bonnie LePage made the announcement. The restaurant will be located at 1903 Grand River in Detroit and will offer craft fare, a large beer list, and an alfresco dining experience. The restaurant will include a green rooftop dining space that features views of Beacon Park and the city skyline.

Stricher brings more than 14 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. She started her career at the age of 18 waiting tables. She advanced to hold several manager positions at Jeremy Restaurant & Bar in Keego Harbor and at various Max & Erma’s restaurants throughout Southeast Michigan. Stricher also worked for Roberts Restaurant Group as general manager of Café ML and Bill’s.

William Hollie
LUMEN DETROIT

In her new role at Lumen, she will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations as well as training and managing a team of more than 50 employees.

Hollie has been working with executive chef Gabby Milton of Big Rock Chophouse to develop the menu for Lumen Detroit. In his new role as kitchen manager, he will execute the menu and train the back-of-the-house employees. He brings with him more than 25 years of experience working in restaurants.

Beacon Park is a public space developed by DTE Energy that features events ranging from headliner concerts to family fun days and fitness boot camps.
