
General Sports Worldwide in Rochester Hills announced Lou DePaoli has joined the firm in the newly created position of managing director of executive search and team consulting.
In this role, DePoali will be responsible for leading the development and management of the new division, focused on consulting with global sports teams and leagues to improve business operation, drive asset appreciation, and identify, evaluate, and recruit top front office executive talent.
“We are thrilled to add another experienced and well-respected leader like Lou to our executive team,” says Andy Appleby, General Sports Worldwide CEO. “This new vertical was developed by Lou and he is the perfect person to spearhead this division based on his industry reputation and track record of leading business operations, identifying and developing top talent, and driving innovation across multiple teams and leagues.”
DePaoli most recently served as executive vice president and chief revenue officer for the New York Mets. His career in sports leadership spans 27 years, including positions with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Hawks, and Atlanta Thrashers.
