Local Businesses Support Leader Dog Canine Center

ROCHESTER HILLS — Leader Dogs for the Blind is partnering with metro Detroit businesses to support the Leader Dog Canine Development Center, currently being renovated.

Customers will have the option to donate $1, $5, or $20 to Leader Dog’s “Dog Days of Summer” campaign. Businesses will post yellow paper suns with each donor’s name, all around its buildings.

“We are very thankful for the support of our local business community,” says Sue Daniels, president and CEO of Leader Dogs. “This inaugural season of ‘Dog Days of Summer’ wouldn’t be possible without the 39 businesses that are helping us spread the word about Leader Dog’s mission and supporting those in need of the services we provide.”

The development center will offer a larger veterinary clinic, indoor and outdoor enrichment areas, larger suites for the dogs to bunk in, and other benefits to allow dogs to be stress-free and comfortable for their work.
