DETROIT — Maxwell Goss has joined the Detroit office of McDonald Hopkins PLC as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department and Labor and Employment Practice Group.
Goss joins McDonald Hopkins from Farney Daniels P., a boutique firm in the Austin, Texas area specializing in intellectual property litigation. Previously he practiced commercial litigation with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in San Antonio, Texas, providing representation in a range of areas including breach of contract, securities, civil fraud, patent, trade secret, trademark, real estate, land use, and antitrust. He was named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year in 2012 by Akin Gump in San Antonio.
Goss graduated from Notre Dame Law School, where he served as executive articles editor of the Notre Dame Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, where he was named a Presidential Scholar, and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
