Lifehouse to Rock Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix

DETROIT — After a full day of exciting action on the track, the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix will keep rocking once the racing concludes on May 31.

The popular Los Angeles-based rock band Lifehouse will headline the musical entertainment on the MotorCity Casino Hotel Entertainment Stage on Saturday at the Grand Prix. The band will take to the stage at approximately 6:15 pm ET, after the conclusion of the first Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans Verizon IndyCar Series race on May 31.

Lifehouse shot to worldwide fame with the song “Hanging by a Moment,” which was named the 2001 Song of the Year by Billboard magazine. The band has released six albums overall and they’ve produced such memorable hits as “You and Me,” “First Time,” “Whatever it Takes” and “Halfway Gone.”

“We’re excited to once again offer an exciting and diverse musical lineup at the Grand Prix and we’re thrilled to host Lifehouse on the MotorCity Casino Hotel Entertainment Stage on Saturday night,” said Bud Denker, chairman of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. “We know that Lifehouse will put on a great show for the fans and their music will highlight an action-packed Saturday on and off the track at the Grand Prix.”

Lifehouse will cap off an exciting day of music as acts will perform throughout Saturday and all weekend long on the MotorCity Casino Hotel Entertainment Stage. On track action on Saturday includes the first race of the doubleheader weekend for the Pirelli World Challenge Series, along with the first race on Belle Isle for the new unified sports car series — the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. The first of the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit presented by Quicken Loans races will bring a thrilling end to the racing activity on May 31 before Lighthouse will light up the stage on Saturday evening.
