CLAWSON — Located in the historic Ambassador Roller Rink, Leon & Lulu, a destination lifestyle store that features upscale furniture, gifts, and accessories, will host an Artistic Skating Group benefit and a meet-and-greet with ceramic designer Nora Fleming this month.

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Skate World of Troy is returning to where most of its skaters developed their craft during their youth at the former Ambassador Roller Rink. The Over 50 Artistic Skating Group will hold a benefit to raise funds that will help them compete at the National Artistic Skating Championships this summer. The event, which will feature skating, costumes, and refreshments, is free and open to the public. Donations and proceeds from sales will benefit the organization.

From 6 to 8 p.m. April 24, Nora Fleming, a platter and mini-ceramics designer who spent childhood summers in Michigan, will meet customers and sign her collection of customizable ceramic serving ware and décor. The event is free and open to the public, and a portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit the Birmingham Community House.
