Southfield-based multi-specialty firm Maddin, Hauser, Roth, and Heller has appointed Kaitlin A. Brown as its new associate attorney.
Prior to taking a position at the firm, Brown served at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. Working in the reconsideration unit, the attorney evaluated and recommended decisions on appeals of administrative decisions. Brown also litigated constitutional, contract, and complex insurance cases.
For Maddin, Hauser, Roth, and Heller, the attorney will be working in the corporate and employment practice group. Specializing in employment law, Brown will be taking on cases that include wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims.
The attorney was recognized by the Michigan Super Lawyers organization as one of its rising stars from 2014 to 2016, and she also received a Pro Bono Accomplishment Award from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. in 2005, and received her doctorate degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2011.
