Lapeer-based Lapeer Plating and Plastics (LP+P) has added two new leaders to its management team. Michael Hitch has joined LP+P as the director of sales and marketing, and Bob Ehlert has joined LP+P as the commercial manager.
Hitch brings 18 years of experience of selling similar exterior trim and application products, most recently with Douglas Corp. Prior to working for Douglas, he was with Saint-Gobain and Avery Dennison. In his new role, Hitch will be responsible for growing and diversifying sales to OEMs and other tier suppliers. Hitch is a graduate of Michigan State University and has a bachelor’s degree in economics. He has also studied at Cambridge University in England.
Ehlert comes from Yanfeng Global Automotive Interior Systems, where he was involved with product costing, business planning, and sales management. His new role will see him develop new product quotes, orchestrate the company’s overall pricing strategy, and assisting in sales. Ehlert holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and master’s degrees in both operations and manufacturing management from Kettering University.
