DETROIT  —  Kraemer Design Group PLC  has promoted Nichole McNamara from project architect to studio director.

As studio director, McNamara will manage a team of architects and be responsible for the overall success of KDG projects in Detroit and the surrounding areas, as well as across the U.S., inserting her creativity and leveraging her intuitive abilities to build and maintain professional relationships.

“Nichole’s imagination, reliability and seasoned project management experience make her an integral part of the KDG team and it is exciting to see her conquer increasingly challenging roles within the firm,” said Kraemer Principal Maureen Kraemer. “She has particularly excelled in the Hospitality industry with her leadership on the Holiday Inn Atlanta Airport North hotel and ongoing large-scale projects for InterContinental Hotels Group.”

McNamara first joined KDG as an architectural designer in 2007 after completing her master of architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy and gaining valuable experience at The Architects Enterprise Ltd. in Chicago. In addition to her licensure as a registered architect in the State of Michigan, McNamara has become a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional, and an active participant in the American Institute of Architects through its Michigan Mentoring Network and Detroit Emerging Professionals Committee.
