KPMG Director Completes Chamber Leadership Class

DETROIT — Jimmy Walker, an advisory managing director at KPMG LLP Detroit has graduated from the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Leadership Detroit program. The program is a 10-month transformational leadership program designed to challenge emerging and existing community leaders from southeast Michigan to bring about positive change.

Walker provides advisory services to numerous Fortune 1,000 companies. He also serves as president of the ALPFA Michigan chapter, the nation’s largest and most established Latino professional organization.

Walker started his career at KPMG Argentina. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, he was assigned to multiple international advisory projects across Latin-American countries. While at KPMG Argentina, he served as an assistant professor at Argentine Catholic University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Leadership Detroit Class 2014 featured 70 executives from across the region, representing a cross-section of the community, including business, organized labor, government, education, media, civic groups, health services and community organizations.
