KLA Laboratories to Expand Technology Information Offerings with Appointment of New Director

Dearborn-based telecommunications contractor KLA Laboratories recently announced the appointment of Dwaine Polio as the director of technology innovation, a newly created positon. The announcement was made by Matt O’Bryan, president and CEO of KLA Laboratories.

In his new role, Polio will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive technology innovation and growth to create innovative solutions that meet and exceed both current and prospective customer needs. He will also be responsible for leading research and development to uncover new ways for customers to use the Internet of Things to automate their processes within KLA Laboratories’ verticals.

“Dwaine’s unparalleled knowledge and depth of experience in manufacturing and other industry leading businesses make him ideal to lead the development of KLA Laboratories future technology roadmap and continued innovation for our clients’ businesses,” says O’Bryan.

Polio began his 32-year career as a network technician with General Motors Co. and then moved to Ford Motor Co. as a network infrastructure engineer and systems analyst. In 2007, he brought his expertise to KLA Laboratories to establish and develop the company’s network services division.

Over the past decade, Polio has created a team of experts that design and build complex network technology systems for KLA Laboratories clients such as, Verizon Wireless, Ford Motor Company, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the Detroit Lions, and Michigan Motion Picture Studios.
