Kitch Law Firm Promotes Six To Associate Principal

DETROIT — Kitch Drutchas Wagner Valitutti & Sherbrook, headquartered in Detroit with offices in Okemos, Mt. Clemens, Marquette, Toledo, and Chicago, has announced the promotion of six of its attorneys to the position of associate principal. They are listed below:

Kimberly Babcock focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense litigation. Babcock is a member of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management, the Ingham County Bar Association, and the Michigan State University College of Law Alumni Association.

Nathan Kaczmarek concentrates on the defense of hospitals and health care providers in professional malpractice litigation. Kaczmarek received his JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Robert Kent is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation, governmental litigation, and affairs practices. Kent has notable experience in the areas of administrative law, commercial real estate, creditors’ rights, property and title insurance, and title litigation.

Victoria Lehman’s practice emphasizes the defense of hospitals and healthcare providers in medical malpractice litigation. Lehman also regularly works with her clients on premises liability and general negligence claims, as well as a wide variety of risk management issues.

Thomas Sullivan is based in the firm’s Toledo office whose practice concentrates on medical malpractice defense and trucking litigation. He is licensed to practice law in Michigan, the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan, Ohio, and the U.S. District Courts of Southern and Northern Ohio.

A. Gabe Sybesma centers his practice on long-term care litigation and medical malpractice at the firm. Sybesma is licensed to practice law in Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan. Mr. Sybesma received his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he was title editor of the Law Review and vice president of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society.
