Attorney Don Katz, managing partner of The Katz Law Firm in Birmingham, has been appointed to the Bloomfield Township financial sustainability committee.
Katz had been special or in-house counsel for Fortune 100 companies for more than 15 years. Prior to that, he managed and led the Aviation and Transportation Group at Miller Canfield until joining General Dynamics Corp. He also served as tax counsel for the Combat Systems Group, he structured transactions and operations in the Middle East, Europe, and China.
Katz, of Bloomfield Hills, earned his Bachelor of Arts in comparative literature from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law.
