DETROIT —The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute Partners Committee, which has worked to raise awareness and funds for the cancer research center, will hold its annual Golf Classic on Aug. 31, and Partners Night on Oct. 1, as part of its 22nd Annual Partners Events.
“Partners gives committee members the opportunity to support critical research at the institute and give back in their own personal way through their involvement in the Partners Events,” says Jason Geisz, this year’s Partners Executive Committee co-chair. “Everyone who supports the events help impact cancer advancements underway at Karmanos.”
The Golf Classic, held at the Franklin Hills Country Club, will offer two shotgun starts, 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Foursomes are sold through sponsorship packages of $3,500 and above and include 18-holes and a golf cart, breakfast, barbecue lunch, refreshments, an awards dinner, and four tickets to the Partners Night event with program acknowledgment. Space for the Golf Classic event is limited.
Partners Night will take place Oct. 1 and will feature a fashion show, strolling cocktail reception, raffle, and live entertainment in the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit. Tickets start at $175.
Since the committee began, Partners Events have raised nearly $14.5 million to support Karmanos’ research.
Both events require pre-registration. For more information, visit karmanos.org/partners.
