Karmanos Cancer Institute to Host Annual Fundraising Event

1824

DETROIT – The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute will be hosting its 21st Annual Partners event, a signature fundraiser honoring outstanding philanthropists who support Karmanos’ cancer care and cutting-edge research. The event is split into a golf classic and a reception dinner. The Partners Golf Classic will take place Aug. 25 at Franklin Hills Country Club. Partners Night will take place Sept. 20 at the Detroit Public Library.

This year’s honorees are Mary Kay and Keith Crain, chairman, Crain Communications Inc.

The Partners Golf Classic includes an 18-hole completive scramble and golf cart, breakfast, barbeque lunch, refreshments, and an awards dinner. Awards will be presented to the lowest scoring men’s, women’s, mixed and Pro-Am teams. Partners Night will include a strolling cocktail reception and dinner, a brief program, an auction and raffle, and live entertainment and dancing.

For the past 20 years, Partners, a group of hands-on volunteers, have raised nearly $13.5 million through the Partners events to support the Karmanos Cancer Institute’s state-of-the science research.

Pre-registration for the events is required. Information about registration, the events, and sponsorship opportunities can be found at karmanos.org/partners.
