Kapnick Insurance, a privately held insurance firm based in Troy, announced Angela Dean has taken an expanded role and will lead the employee benefits sales team.
“Our mentorship program not only furthers our culture of learning and development but is essential to the growth of our firm and industry,” says Dean. “Most of us fall into insurance, but we all know it’s a great industry. I’m looking forward to expanding our reach, bringing in the best and brightest talent, and developing new sales leaders.”
Originally joining the firm in 2003 as a sales producer, Dean was one of the original 10 partners when the Kapnick family began expanding ownership to high-performing colleagues for the first time in 2019. Now in her expanded role as partner, benefit sales leader, she will be responsible for all aspects of sales leadership including recruiting, coaching, and taking Kapnick’s mentorship program to the next level.
“As a member of Kapnick’s internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and the first woman of color on Kapnick’s leadership team, Angela is especially passionate about helping sales producers from traditionally underrepresented communities succeed,” says Jim Kapnick, CEO of Kapnick. “I’m excited to see her take on this new challenge and our vision for the firm’s future as an engaging, inclusive, growth-oriented organization.”
