DETROIT — Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria and Brewery will host the launch on Saturday of the Jordan Morgan Foundation, a nonprofit founded by former University of Michigan basketball player Jordan Morgan that is dedicated to providing education and encouragement to Detroit’s youth.
“The Jordan Morgan Foundation’s goal — changing the lives of young people and making a difference in Detroit — is inspirational,” says Liz Marek, event organizer. “We are honored to help introduce this amazing organization not only to the city of Detroit, but to people everywhere.”
The event, which takes place from 6 to 9 p.m., will be held at the brewery’s Midtown location, 411 W. Canfield St. Tickets are $100 and include a dinner, party, and silent auction. A selection of hand passed menu items, sour ales, wine, and signature cocktails are included in the cost of each ticket.
Proceeds from the evening will go towards the foundation’s first annual basketball camp in August.
