Warren’s Joe Vicari Restaurant Group (JVRG) has hired chef Daniel J. Scannell, one of 72 Certified Master Chefs by the American Culinary Federation in the U.S., to join the culinary team.
“For a restaurant group like ours to have a rare Certified Master Chef on our team represents a remarkable addition to our group,” says Joe Vicari, president of JVRG. “We are incredibly excited for our customers across all of our brands to experience the changes we are planning across our menus and overall dining experience.”
Scannell will work alongside chef Jim Oppat to oversee the complete culinary experience across each of the JVRG brands including Andiamo, Andiamo Celebrity Showroom, Joe Muer Seafood, Birmingham Pub, The Bronze Door, The Statler Bistro and Market, Andiamo Italian Steakhouse in Las Vegas, Brownies on the Lake, Barleycorn’s Public House, 29/41 Mediterranean Street Food, and The Country Inn.
He is a 1998 graduate of Johnson & Wales University where he received his associates degree in baking and pastry arts and a bachelor’s degree in food-service management. He also received an honorary doctorate degree in culinary arts in 2006 from that same institution.
Scannell will be introducing fresh new menu options for each of the JVRG brands in the coming months. Later this spring, guests of Andiamo will be able to experience first-hand some of the changes when the brand introduces several new menu options that Scannell and Oppat have been working on. The new menu options will add variety to the menu and compliment the staple dishes for which Andiamo is known.
