SOUTHFIELD — The Joe Cornell Event-Planning EXPO will not only entice families planning lifecycle events to find new ideas for their celebrations; it will be a hotbed of activity and ideas for corporate folks, as Southeast Michigan’s longest-standing entertainment company launches the Corporate Blitz, an event-planning trade show for HR directors and corporate event planners.
“For more than a decade, our annual Event-Planning Expo has been a favorite event for local families planning special celebrations,” says Steve Jasgur, CEO of Joe Cornell Entertainment. “Now we are excited to offer a special corporate-focused arm to our trade show, as Michigan’s economy picks up and companies are looking for innovative and fun ways to reward their employees, vendors and industry partners. It’s great to see this energy returning to our marketplace.”
Joe Cornell’s EXPO – as well as the Corporate Blitz – are open to the public and free of charge. The EXPO takes place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Oct. 6, and the Corporate Blitz occurs from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 7. Both at the West Bloomfield Jewish Community Center, 6600 W. Maple Rd., West Bloomfield.
“We work with corporate folks all the time, offering advice and guidance on how to reward employees, engage with clients and collaborate with vendors for mutual benefit,” says Rebecca Schlussel, vice-president of Joe Cornell Entertainment. “It was a natural outgrowth of these interactions and relationships to offer an event for corporate event planners, where they can find everything in one place as well as network with an industry that helps to grow what they do.”
