Troy-based payment technology company North American Bancard LLC has announced that its chief experience officer Jim Parkinson has been accepted to the Forbes Technology Council.

Parkinson was accepted to the invitation-only community for technology executives based on his track record of positively impacting business growth, diverse experience, and professional achievements. At North American Bancard, he is part of an executive team that works to service hundreds of thousands of businesses and process more than $45 billion in electronic payments annually.

“It is a tremendous honor to join the ranks of many distinguished professionals on the Forbes Technology Council,” Parkinson says. “Forbes has created a platform that fosters innovation and encourages the meaningful exchange of ideas. I look forward to sharing my insights and expertise as new technological solutions continue to enhance business efficiencies.”

As part of his membership in the Forbes Technology Council, Parkinson will be contributing to original articles on Forbes.com and have the chance to contribute to published Q-and-A panels. Parkinson will also use the council as a chance to connect and collaborate with other technology leaders in a private setting.

“We are honored to welcome Jim Parkinson into the community,” says Scott Gerber, founder of the Forbes Councils. “Our mission with Forbes Councils is to bring together proven leaders from every industry, creating a curated, social capital-driven network that helps every member grow professionally and make an even greater impact on the business world.”
