Jason Minock, a senior development manager with the Southfield-based construction firm Atwell, was made president of the 2024 executive committee of the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan.

Minock has contributed his expertise to HBA’s board of directors since 2015 and has served on the HBA Executive Committee since 2017.

He began his construction career while completing a master’s degree in urban planning, with a real estate development concentration, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During college Jason worked part-time as a land planner intern with Atwell, LLC.

After graduating he joined Windham Realty Group as a project manager. In 2001 he accepted an assistant project manager position with Toll Brothers. At Toll Brothers he was promoted to project manager, then senior project manager, becoming an assistant vice president with strategic oversight of daily operations, including the acquisition of 574 new lots.

After almost 17 years with Toll Brothers, Minock accepted a position with Hunter Pasteur Homes as vice president of operations and development. He currently serves as a senior development manager of renewables with Atwell, a full-service consulting, engineering, and construction services firm, working with clients in the real estate and land development, power and energy, and oil and gas markets.

“We are fortunate to have Jason as HBA’s president for 2024,” says Forrest M. Wall, CEO of HBA. “His business experience and complete understanding of both the industry and HBA’s operations will be valuable assets to our organization moving forward.”

The executive committee is responsible for furthering the building industry’s relationship with municipal and county governments and providing representation in the state and national associations.

Additionally, the committee assists in overseeing HBA’s mission to provide education, information, programs, networking, political action, and all other activities that advance the building industry, while making home ownership a reality for Michigan families.
