FARMINGTON HILLS — JARC, an organization serving people with disabilities, presents its 17th annual SpringElation fundraiser, an all-inclusive family fun night at The Detroit Zoo on May 20.

The event is one of JARC’s largest fundraisers of the year and nearly 2,000 partygoers are anticipated to attend. Festivities include a private evening at the zoo with a picnic dinner and dessert catered by Quality Kosher Catering, free parking, and access to many of the zoo’s popular exhibits and attractions, including the new Cotton Family Wolf Habitat, rides on the Carousel and Tauber Family Railroad.

Live entertainment will be provided by StarTrax and this year’s event will feature the opportunity to watch Rio in the zoo’s popular 4-D Theatre. Door prizes will be given away and SpringElation will also feature an expanded Robot Garage station, crafts and games with prizes for kids.

This year’s event will also announce winners and showcase entries from JARC’s third annual SpringElation art contest. Quicken Loans, Title Source, Bedrock Real Estate Services, and Gilbert Films are the official Presenting Sponsors of JARC’s 2015 SpringElation.

SpringElation is the major source of private funding for JARC’s services for children and their families. All proceeds raised at this family community event will benefit hundreds of children with disabilities, including autism, developmental delays and physical and emotional disabilities, and their families. JARC’s services for children with disabilities include in-home respite by trained caregivers, social opportunities for teens, and advocacy with schools and agencies on behalf of families.

SpringElation event is open to the public and ticket cost is $25 per guest (children under 2 are free). Individual Sponsorships start at $100 and Corporate Sponsorships begin at $1,500.
