FARMINGTON HILLS — Creative marketing communications firm, J.R. Thompson Co. has appointed Jim Yetter to the newly-created position of chief marketing officer.
In his new position, Yetter will spearhead all marketing and strategic planning, lead initiatives to strengthen the level of services provided to support the agency’s client roster and work to increase awareness of the core strengths of the company. He will also help lead and assist in driving new business development at the firm.
“With years of experience as an automotive and marketing executive, Jim Yetter will be invaluable in his new role as Chief Marketing Officer,” said Clay Thompson, president. “Jim will draw on that knowledge, skill and expertise to develop and implement new and innovative marketing programs to service our clients, and he will also work to expand the level and reach of the services we provide.”
Yetter began as a consultant to the company in 2010, following a 22-year career at Chrysler Group, where he filled numerous roles at the automaker, including director of Dodge brand global communications, and senior executive of new vehicle launches. He has a master’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University.
