International Automotive Components Names New President North America


Maurice Sessel has been promoted to president of International Automotive Components North America, a global automotive interior components supplier with North America headquarters in Southfield.

With more than 30 years of automotive OEM and supplier industry experience, Sessel is responsible for overseeing all primary central business functions for IAC’s North American region, including dommercial, engineering, operations, quality and procurement. He will also set strategy and oversee the global core engineering and research and development functions.

Previously, Sessel was IAC’s Senior vice president of globa engineering and was responsible for all product engineering, design, tooling development, manufacturing engineering, advanced development and global material engineering. Prior to joining the company, he served in several senior leadership roles at Lear Corp. for nearly 20 years, including vice president of global trim operations; vice president of Mexican operations; vice President of Chrysler Car and Jeep platforms; vice president of Ford truck and van platforms; and vice president of engineering for the interior systems division.

Sessel, of West Bloomfield, earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Wyoming.
