DETROIT, Michigan – Ideal Group became an eight time awardee of General Motors’ Supplier of the Year on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Ideal Contracting, a Southwest Detroit general contractor, achieved “Ideal” GM recognition for their successful construction projects and team members’ dedication to safety, quality, and performance.

“It was unbelievable,” says Ideal Contracting’s Vice President and General Manager, Dan Kovoch. “The ceremony was spectacular and it felt good to be recognized for Ideal Contracting’s hard work, safety implementation programs, and overall client satisfaction – we were awarded for just doing our job the Ideal way, staying ahead and being the best!”

Since 1992, GM celebrates their most valued suppliers through a ceremony at specially chosen landmark institutions worldwide. General Motors has thousands of suppliers globally that contribute to their efforts of being the top automotive manufacturer in the world.  For 2011, Ideal Contracting was one of only 82 suppliers accredited for their outstanding services and commitment to GM’s satisfaction as a customer.

“It’s such an incredible honor,” says Ideal Contracting’s Project Director, Kevin Foucher. “We have such a talented hard-working team committed to excellence, from our project managers all the way to our tradesmen.”
