Honigman Partners Named to Editorial Advisory Board

DETROIT — Honigman partners Donald J. Kunz and Phillip D. Torrence have been named to the Law360’s Capital Markets Editorial Advisory Board.

Law360 is an online news source covering corporate deals, litigation, legislation and regulation, major personnel moves, and legal industry news and trends. The Capital Markets section provides the latest news and analysis on stock and bond offerings, as well as legislation and regulation pertaining to stock, bond, foreign exchange, and other capital markets. In addition to IPOs, follow-on offerings, and debt deals, it covers high-stakes litigation related to those offerings.

Kunz, far left, of Bloomfield Hills, works in the firm’s Detroit office, and chairs Honigman’s corporate department and leads the firm’s Insurance transactions practice group, focuses his practice on corporate transactional matters and client counseling, with a particular emphasis on the representation of publicly traded companies.

Kunz earned a juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, summa cum laude, in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan.

Torrence, of Portage, works firm’s office in Kalamazoo. He chairs the firm’s financial institutions practice, co-leader of its securities and corporate governance practice, and a partner in its corporate department. He represents public and private companies in a wide range of industries, including the medical device and life-sciences industries and the banking sector. 

Torrence earned a juris doctor from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Art from Hope College.
