Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP has added Joanna G. Morrison and Mallory L. Tomaro as associates to the firm.
Morrison will join the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office. She is a member of the trusts and estates practice group, assisting with the development, execution and administration of creative estate planning solutions for high net worth individuals. Previously, she worked at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where she served as a trust administrator. Morrison is admitted to practice in Illinois and anticipates admission to practice in Michigan.
Morrison, of West Bloomfield, received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a LL.M. in taxation from Northwestern University School of Law and her juris doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
Tomaro has joined the firm’s real estate department in the firm’s Detroit office. She will assist with general real estate matters in the retail, office and industrial areas. Previously, she served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Arthur J. Tarnow in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She also served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Damon J. Keith in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Tomaro is admitted to practice in Michigan.
Tomaro, of Detroit, received a Bachelor of Arts from New York University and her juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School, where she was the associate editor of the Wayne Law Review.
