TROY — Honeywell Transportation Systems has named Dan Yaung general manager of the company’s turbocharger and friction materials aftermarket business in North America.

Yaung will be co-located in Troy and Plymouth splitting his time with both the Friction Materials and Turbo Technologies teams.

In this new role, Yaung will be using the experience and knowledge of the Honeywell Friction Materials team and an industry leading product portfolio to meet the needs of the industry’s growing customer base in North America. On the Honeywell Turbo Technologies side of the business, he will work closely with the existing original equipment manufacturing team in Plymouth to ensure the aftermarket portfolio continues to evolve from a heavily commercial vehicle focus to include an increased number of passenger vehicle turbochargers given the rapid increase of adoption in the North American new vehicle market.

He also served as director of global projects for Honeywell Friction Materials in Germany, and was director of strategic supplier relationships for Human Resources Strategy and Transformation in Morristown, N.J.
