HNTB Corp. Adds Nathan Ford to their Firm as Public Involvement Director

HNTB Corp., an infrastructure solution firm serving both public and private owners, has announced that Nathan Ford will be joining their team in the company’s Detroit office. Ford, who has 25 years of experience in community relations, strategic planning partnerships, and event management, will assist the firm in providing complex infrastructure projects for clients through local awareness and business relationships.

As HNTB celebrates a century of service and 25 years in Michigan, Ford will be responsible for helping the firm deliver high profile projects in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) I-94 Modernization Program and MDOT’s I-375 reconstruction in Detroit by implementing public communication strategies and various communication programs.

“Nates diverse skill set and extensive expertise in building successful community engagement strategies will have a tremendous impact on our team in Michigan,” says Eric Morris, Michigan office leader and vice president. “His knowledge of local issues and established relationships with key stakeholders will help our clients accomplish their vision for an integrated multimodal transportation system for the region.”

Ford, a member of the Nation Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Detroit Chamber and former president of the University District Community Association (UDCA), has been active in city-wide campaigns in the city of Detroit, along with multiple community and civic organizations. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Morehouse College.
