Hirschmann Names New VP of Sales, Marketing


AUBURN HILLS — Hirschmann Car Communication Inc., a supplier of transmitter and receiver systems for machine-to-machine and automotive communications, has named Christopher Bala as vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s North American business.

Bala is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for Hirschmann’s Solutions business in the North and South American markets, including business development for infotainment, antenna, tuner systems, telematics, asset tracking and automation and energy applications.

Previously, Bala served as vice president of sales and marketing at Novi-based OPS Solutions and as vice president for OEM business development for Auburn Hills-based Energy Conversion Devices / United Solar Ovonic.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from General Motors Institute (Kettering University) and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
