High-Profile Leaders to Keynote Detroit Leadership Conference

DETROIT — “Drive Detroit” is the theme of the 14th Annual Chick fil-A Leadercast, scheduled for May 10 at the Roberts Riverwalk Hotel (formerly the Omni), starting at 9 a.m. For more than 10 years, Chick-fil-A has hosted over 100,000 leaders from 14 countries for a one-day leadership development conference teaching essentials tools for the workplace. The topic for this year’s event will be “Simply Leading.”
Speakers for this year’s event include:

  • Jack Welch — Former chairman and CEO of General Electric
  • Andy Stanley — Best-selling leadership author and communicator
  • Mike Krzyzewski — Head men’s basketball coach, Duke University and Team USA
  • Lt. Cmdr. Rorke Denver — Navy SEAL and star of the 2012 movie Act of Valor
  • Sanya Richards-Ross — 2012 London Olympic gold medalist, track & field
  • Condoleezza Rice — Secretary of State (2005-2009)

Jay Rayford, who is the “Drive Detroit” host committee chair, has been the driving force behind hosting this year’s event in Michigan. Rayford said, “This conference, although very focused on leadership, transcends the topic and really shows you how to lead in life. The people of Detroit will really be able to gain valuable insight to move our city forward.”

The event will be held at The Roberts Riverwalk Hotel at 1000 River Place Dr. in Detroit.

Early bird admission is $100 if purchased by March 31. General admission is $120 and can be purchased until May 10. Admission includes all sessions and lunch.
