Hertz Schram, a Bloomfield Hills-based law firm, announced Herschel Fink has joined the firm as of counsel, where he will continue his practice representing newspapers, media organizations, and entertainment companies.
Fink currently is legal counsel to USA Today Network’s six Michigan newsrooms, including the Detroit Free Press. He will continue to represent these newsrooms separately. He previously was a senior partner at the Honigman in Detroit, where he was head of its media law practice for 35 years.
In his legal career, Fink has represented national television networks, local TV stations, national wire services, and numerous newspapers and national magazines in libel, privacy, and related matters. He has successfully defended motion picture studios, authors, and entertainment industry figures in numerous copyright, privacy, and defamation cases.
Fink joins Howard Hertz and Joseph Bellanca in expanding the full-service firm’s entertainment and media practice.
