Henry Ford Allegiance Health Appoints New Head of Security


Jackson-based Henry Ford Allegiance Health has hired Matthew Heins as its new security manager. Heins will begin his new position on Jan. 6, 2017.

In his new position, Heins will oversee daily operations of the security department, serving as a liaison with local and state law enforcement, and lead the 41 members of the security team.

Prior to his appointment, Heins served as the chief of police of Jackson from 2007 to 2016.

Heins, of Jackson, earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Western Michigan University, and received training at the FBI National Academy and the Police School of Staff and Command at Northwestern University.
