Health Management Systems Names New President

DETROIT — Health Management Systems of America has named Dennis Rice to lead the organization as president.

Rice will continue to oversee daily operations while working with J. William Sumner who will remain as chairman and CEO of the organization.

As president, Rice will build upon existing services lines and focus on new service lines exclusive to the wellness and behavioral healthcare services industry.

Most recently, Rice served as executive vice president of operations and finance. In his nearly 30 year career with the association, Rice has improved operational efficiencies, expanded new business ventures and in 2013, guided the management team to achieve record profitability.

Rice holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Walsh College with additional concentrations in business communications and computer information systems.
