HAP Offers New Identity Theft Protection Service

DETROIT — Health Alliance Plan launched the new Identity Theft Protection service, a new support and guidance program that offers clients’ an all-hours, professional fraud hotline as well as tools to safeguard their credit histories.

The Identity Theft Protection service is available to all eligible Health Alliance Plan members free of charge.

The service includes variety of fraud protection features like internet fraud monitoring, that tracks the online activity of client’s credit cards, lost and stolen assistance, which allows clients to proactively protect themselves by storing all of their credit cards, bank cards, and other important documents in one centralized location, and all-hours fraud support, which ensures that clients will always be able to contact a Health Alliance Plan representative if they think they have fallen victim of identity theft.
