TROY — Brian Elias, founder and CEO of 1-800-HANSONS, has been selected by Remodeling magazine to receive the Remodeling Big50 award, a national designation only few receive. This year’s recipients were treated to a VIP red carpet gala dinner at the Remodeling Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.in May. The 2013 Big50 winners are featured in the May issue of Remodeling, a national trade publication read by more than 98,000 professional remodeling contractors.
Every year since 1986, Remodeling has selected 50 owners of remodeling companies to join the exclusive Big50 club. Criteria for consideration mandate that candidates have set exceptionally high standards for professionalism and integrity through exemplary business practices, craftsmanship, and impact in their community or the industry at large. Big50 remodelers run successful, often growing, companies of various sizes that have taken the lead in raising industry standards.
The Big50 selection process is extremely rigorous and the Remodeling editors believe this year’s inductees are the strongest class yet. “Uniting the 2013 inductees are high standards and a determination to push through the recession — taking the opportunity to retool systems and processes to prepare for the recovery — ensuring that as business picks up, they are poised to meet their sales, production, and customer-service goals and continue to thrive,” according to Remodeling.
