
Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County in Pontiac has named Jody Skonieczny as its new chief advancement officer.
With more than 20 years of experience leading nonprofit advancement efforts, Skonieczny brings a wealth of strategic fundraising knowledge, volunteer engagement expertise, and mission-driven leadership to the organization.
Her career includes leadership roles at nonprofits such as the Sky Foundation, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the March of Dimes. She led the execution of a multi-state raffle that raised $500,000, secured a $200,000 scholarship endowment, implemented successful planned and annual giving programs, and played a key role in a $5 million capital campaign.

Skonieczny holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Michigan – Flint and is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE). She also received her doctorate in Leadership Studies at Louisiana State University Shreveport, reflecting her lifelong commitment to professional growth and ethical nonprofit leadership.
She will oversee all aspects of Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County’s development strategy, including donor stewardship, major gifts, grants, and community partnerships.
