SOUTHFIELD — Guardian Guard Services of Michigan announced the acquisition of Midwest RSIG Security, a Southfield-based security guard provider. The acquisition was completed earlier this week and Guardian will take over the guard accounts at the end of the month. The majority of the 200 security officers employed by RSIG will continue with Guardian in their current positions to guarantee a seamless transition for customers.

“Guardian shares the size, length in business and professionalism set by RSIG, so we know that our same high standards of service and customer dedication will be continued and reinforced,” said Michael Whittaker, president of RSIG Security. Guardian Guard general manager, David Beeler, “Guardian is thrilled for the opportunity to expand our footprint in both Michigan and Ohio through this acquisition. We look forward to working with both our new customers and employees.”

The parent company of Guardian Guard Services is Guardian Alarm, one of North America’s independently owned security companies. A Michigan based company founded in 1930, Guardian’s continued success comes from combining innovative technology with the basic values that come from being a private, family owned company.
