Group [eX] Adds Creative Members to Staff

ROYAL OAK — Group [eX], a marketing and communications consortium based in Royal Oak, has added three creative professionals to the staff. They are: Lora Parlove, left, of Colorforms, Craig Steen, middle, of Defrost Design, and Scott Taylor of Scott Taylor Direct.

Parlove has been an active member of Detroit’s advertising market since 1979. She founded commercial-art and design firm Colorforms Inc. in 1986 and has been an adviser and guest speaker on marketing and branding issues on many college campuses. She holds a BA and MA from Eastern Michigan University and  is a member of the adjunct faculty at Detroit’s College for Creative Studies.

Steen has been a partner with Defrost Design since 1999, serving clients that include Kelly Services, Nissan, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Quicken Loans. An active member and former president of the AIGA Detroit chapter, Steen also is the mentoring chair at AIGA. He has been recognized for design in print and interactive media by the American Center For Design, Metropolis magazine, Looking Closer 2, and Typography Now Two. He holds a BFA and MFA from Eastern Michigan University.

Taylor founded Scott Taylor Direct in 2013 after spending more than 25 years working as art and creative director for agencies RPA and Campbell-Ewald on accounts as diverse as Honda, Blue Cross of California and Hilton Hotels. He specializes in direct marketing and his work has earned numerous awards and accolades. Taylor earned a BFA from the College for Creative Studies.

Group-eX is a marketing communications and advertising group in Royal Oak, comprised of designers, writers, web developers and social-media experts who provide creative solutions to companies ranging from PPG, Snap-on and Carhartt to Bosch and Mercedes-Benz.
